How does your life change as you grow up? The little events in every child’s life are pretty close to being the same.  They vary depending on the circumstances, but every kid knows – each time- something is a little different , and they feel, deep down inside, that they are growing up, little by little.

There were and are many, many steps taken toward growing up but for us the kids of 28^th Terrace, in the 1950’s there was a definite pivotal point in maturity for which we all longed. We knew we had finally taken a huge step forward in our parents minds when this happened. We had finally come to the part in our lives where our parents knew they could trust us.

The kids on 28^th Terrace had something that not all kids had. What was it, you might ask?  We got to ride our bikes to the tree in the middle of the road ….
